Sources are specific bodies of knowledge on which you can train KNO or any of its variants. It could be a document, a URL, a bunch of URLs, an entire website, a single YouTube video or a complete playlist of videos and so on. While we, at Alltius, are continuously adding multiple types of sources, the way an Assistant is coached on a source remains largely the same.
Just to recap, Assistants are specialised versions of KNO trained on specific knowledge bodies that you find relevant and important.
Sources can be added in two ways. The first way is to add the Source to the workspace centrally. The second way is to add directly to an Assistant (go to step 9 directly)
- Click on the ‘Source Library’ tab from the left main navigation menu.
- Click on ‘Add a New Source’ from the top right corner
- Select the type of source you wish to add.
- If you choose ‘URLs’, select the frequency of refresh and add multiple URLs if needed.
- The platform will automatically show errors when URLs are broken or unsafe. Click proceed when done.
- Please mind that invalid links will not be processed further. You can choose to correct them inline.
- The newly added sources will now reflect in the list.
- For adding PDFs to the list, the process is largely the same, except that you have to choose the PDF option when given a choice.
- For adding a Source directly to an Assistant, select the Assistant you want to coach from the list.
- Select ‘Add a New Source’ from the assistant specific page. And follow the steps as shown earlier. When you choose this option, the Assistant is automatically coached on the Source added. The Source is also available in the main Sources tab for training other Assistants.
